The International Conference on Optimization and Information Systems (COSI) aims to bring together researchers in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, primarily from the fields of combinatorial optimization, graph theory, information systems, and artificial intelligence.

The 18th edition of COSI will take place in Batna, from 12 to 14 May 2026, and will be hosted by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Batna 2 . This edition follows previous ones held in Tizi-Ouzou (2004), Bejaia (2005), Algiers (2006), Oran (2007), Tizi-Ouzou (2008), Annaba (2009), Ouargla (2010), Guelma (2011), Tlemcen (2012), Algiers (2013), Bejaia (2014), Oran (2015), Sétif (2016), Bouira (2017), Oran (2018), Tizi-Ouzou (2019), and Bejaia (2025), after a few years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

COSI fosters a friendly and engaging environment for discussions and exchanges between researchers from all over the world. Continuing its tradition, the 2026 edition will feature high-profile invited talks, original research papers, and demonstrations of research prototypes.
