Prof. Rachid Hedjam
Rachid Hedjam is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Bishop’s University (Sherbrooke, Quebec). He previously served as an Associate Professor at Sultan Qaboos University (Oman) and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO).
He is a researcher in artificial intelligence and machine learning. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Science and Operations Research from the University of Montreal and earned his Ph.D., with highest honors, from the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS, Montreal). He subsequently held a postdoctoral position at McGill University.
His research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, and pattern recognition. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and GRSS, and a member of CAIAC. He leads the AI track at the AMI Lab (Université de Sherbrooke).
He is also an Associate Editor for the Journal on Image and Video Processing (Springer Nature) and a Subject Matter Expert at PreScouter, Inc.
